At Chalk, we take complex ideas and make them simple. Video is one of the most effective means of user-engagement and education so - as a matter of course - we love, live and breathe it.
Chalk's video production process is far from simple, but with over a decade of experience, we have it down. The process we've established over the years is highly developed, ensuring the end result is professional - but with a boutique touch. With our own studio and edit suites; we do everything, from end-to-end, in-house.
Pre-production
Before the cameras start to roll, in Pre-Production, the Chalk video team works closely with our clients to identify the ideas they wish to convey and construct them into a concise message. Working with the strength of that message we develop a creative and tactical strategy to ensure it is delivered. Our expertise in this area ensures our clients' message resonates with their audience and achieves maximum impact
Production
Upon reaching the Production phase the team will assemble all the components required for a successful shoot day, including everything from the set design to a specialized crew. This is where the team rolls up their sleeves and rolls the tape. At our own Studio in Vancouver we only use the best lighting, cinematographers, tape stock and equipment, ensuring the highest quality video.
Post-production
Once the shoot day is complete we transport the video footage directly to our Editing Bays, where they are digitized and captured for assembly. Here in the Post Production phase all necessary "assets" such as sound, video, graphics and animation are compiled, placed and polished. Edits are reviewed several times and perfected until a final cut is made into a Broadcast Quality Master. We can encode the video for a large variety of formats and platforms, including Chalk’s exclusive and first-to-market mobile content deployment system for BlackBerry® smartphones.
Throughout the production process, the Chalk video team will be there to ensure your video is engaging, on-target and valuable. Regular meetings and clear lines of communication ensure a smooth process, even after delivery of the final video.
